I need a new smart AC adapter.  Apparently the one that I am using is not the one my PC came with.  Which smart AC adapter do I purchase?

The power adapter part number and description is:

 

710413-001
Smart AC adapter (90 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector - Requires separate 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector - For use with models equipped with discrete graphics.

 

The power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter is sold separately.

 

213349-009
Power cord (Black) - 3-wire conductor, 1.0m (3.2ft) long - Has straight (F) C5 connector (North America)

 

What I recommend you do is to go on eBay do a search by the HP power adapter part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter.

 

Those normally come with the power cords included.
