I need an Elan Touchpad Driver for HP Stream - 14-ax000na running Windows 10 Home 20H2
BACKGROUND INFO
My HP Stream - 14-ax000na does not have sufficient storage to perform an update in the normal way, so
I updated it to Windows 10 Home 20H2 by using the Media Creation Tool.
I wiped the existing Windows installation and installed 20H2 from scratch.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the result appeared to be a completely working system without having to download any HP specific drivers. Then I found that the touchpad does not handle gestures any more.
Looking on the HP web site for a suitable driver I see that the newest driver is labelled "Elan Touchpad Driver (Windows 10 v1903)". I downloaded it to see if it would also work with 20H2 but it does not.
Running HPSetup.exe in the folder C:\swsetup\SP96637 results in "The driver is not supported on this OS version (10.0.19042)."

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are looking for a touchpad driver for your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
I see that there are no drivers available from HP for Windows version 20H2 and you need to use the Windows built-in driver for the touchpad.
Refer to the below link for the list of available drivers for your computer.
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Performing a clean install of Windows 10 version 20H2 results in the touchpad having no gesture support. Do I take it that this is Windows using its "built in driver"?
Looking at Device Manager, the "Mice and other pointing devices" contains only one entry, namely "PS/2 Compatible Mouse". Is this the "built in driver"?
Is there any way to get the gesture support back?
You asked for the product number. That appears to be X9W65EA#ABU.
