@iillusion

You have to order them from HP.

HP Recovery Media is a set of DVDs and a CD, or USB stick, that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, settings, and applications, reinstall the original OS, drivers, and some HP Utilities.

In some cases, you may be able to order a USB stick instead of disks. You have to order these from HP; they can not be downloaded.

You can look online for Recovery Media starting with the linked paged: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, input your Product name or number. On your Software and Drivers Download page, select your Operating System and and Version. Click "Update".

If HP Recovery Media is available for your machine, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for Order Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click the "+" symbol to expand that entry and click on Order Media for details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Support.

To contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

I followed your instructions but there was nothing  relating to order recovery media on that page. And, will there be any charge for the media.

@iillusion

Yes -- the media is not free.

You can also do a complete reinstall using free media you download and create from Microsoft -- but it won't have HP drivers or utilities.

You can get the MS download from here:  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

@iillusion

Sorry, no I can't -- you have to order it yourself from HP.

Did you try calling Customer Support?

What I mean is can you provide for me the webpage or website where I can order the various media from HP,  online. Is there an online option for this.

Thank you for that STOCK answer !! Do they, of course they do, give you a prepared script to read and nothing else. I'll again call HP support, after they just hanged up on me cause my computer is out of warranty. Couldn't even stay on phone long enough to get an answer or any info about purchasing recovery media although you say it is possible.
