Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My laptop won’t boot up.  It is giving me an error 0xc0000185.  Help!

Can you by chance, tell us what the model or product number of the computer is?

 

That error means either your boot files are damaged or the hard drive has failed.

Since I dont know what you have, can you open the UEFI Diagnostics and test the hard drive from Component tests?

Here is how to access the tests if the computer wont start...

You could try installing Windows 10 via a USB thumb drive. You should have made your HP USB Recovery media when you purchased the PC. But you probably didnt. You can however use an ISO download from Microsoft from another computer and use a USB thumb drive. If it wont install, the drive is most likely dead.

I have an HP pavilion dv6-7112he entertainment.  I have the one with the beats by die.  64bit windows 7 home premium ,i5processor, 4 g memory, serial #2ce2210fds,

Product #B4T98UA#ABA, RALINK 5390, also befor the laptop got all bipolar on me it would let me connect to my Wi-Fi at my apartment but when I opened enternet explorer itd say cannot display web page but I'm connected but also it doesn't bring up the log in portal it's an open network but you gotta have your email and password. I'm doin everything you tell me bossman what' are we doing next PS.  When I try to factory reset it says everything in the recovery says "disabled please factory reset "or something. If you can find it on the web ive tried it. Except what your telling me
