Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I want to know if I can find my mouse cursor on my laptop after not using it for a month. Now the mouse cursor is showing on the screen but, it won’t move on its  own ?? And I want to know what I can do about that or if something can be done ?? In the mean time, I am looking to buy a mouse for my laptop but, don’t know what kind to buy??
