There are only certain folders on the "C" drive that are protected; most of the folders, including any you create, can be written to without issue.
You need to create a folder on the "C" drive to save the Java programs; you can't save them to Program Files -- if that is where you are trying to save them.
I have created a folder named WinApps and that is where I save programs -- and it does not give me any problems.
