Hello, I wanna ask about upgrade possibilities of Hp 630 HM65 (3672-100) laptop — 02/24/2012. My processor is Intel (r) Celeron B815 1.6 ghz

What processor can I put in there? Will it work properly or the system will overheat? I want it in work and maybe in some old games.

Just in case, my Bios is F. 39.

Thank you in advance!

Hi:

Below the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 has the list of supported Intel Sandy Bridge processors.

Looks like you can upgrade to the Intel® Dual Core i5-2540M processor.

It shouldn't overheat as the processor wattages are the same.
