Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Pavillion 17-G129DS Product MIY49VA cannot run Windows 11, because of the processor. Everything else passes the check. What processor can I install to be WIN11 compatible?

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

If you want to see if you can install W11 on your notebook as is, install this free utility that will provide some information regarding the processor.  I use the portable version.

 

Free Download HWiNFO Sofware | Installer & Portable for Windows, DOS

 

In order to install the latest version of W11 (24H2) your notebook's processor has to support SSE 4.2.

 

When you run the HWINFO utility, the summary report for the processor will list all of its capabilities.

 

If it supports SSE 4.2 it will show up in green text.
