Hi @SanderNL77,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Envy X360 laptop suddenly turned off and now you're unable to turn it back on. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check the Power Adapter: Ensure that the power adapter is plugged into both the laptop and a working power outlet. Sometimes, if the power adapter is not properly connected or if there's an issue with the outlet, the laptop may not receive power.
- Inspect for Physical Damage: Look for any physical damage such as cracks, dents, or signs of overheating on the laptop itself or the power adapter. Damage could be preventing the laptop from turning on.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve issues where the laptop is unresponsive. To do this, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable). Then, hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds. After that, reconnect the battery (if removable) and plug in the power adapter. Try turning the laptop on again.
- Check Battery Charge: If your laptop has a built-in battery, ensure it has sufficient charge. Connect the laptop to the power adapter and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to turn it on again.
- Test with Another Power Outlet: Try plugging the power adapter into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the outlet itself.
- External Display Check: If you have an external monitor, connect your laptop to it using an appropriate cable. Sometimes, the issue might be related to the laptop's display rather than the system itself.
These steps should help you troubleshoot why your HP Envy X360 isn't turning on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
