Hi @Maal1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP 360 Chromebook 14 is stuck during the recovery process. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Hard Reset the Chromebook
- Hold down the Power button until the Chromebook turns off.
- Wait for a few seconds and then turn it back on by pressing the Power button.
- Check if the recovery process resumes or if you're able to start the process again.
Verify Internet Connection
- Ensure that your internet connection is stable. You can try connecting to a different network or restarting your router to see if it resolves the issue.
Use the Chromebook Recovery Utility (External USB)
If the internet recovery is stuck, it might be better to use the Chromebook Recovery Utility. Here's how:
- On a different computer, download and install the Chromebook Recovery Utility from the Chrome Web Store.
- Get a USB flash drive (at least 8 GB) and use the utility to create a recovery drive.
- Insert the USB recovery drive into your Chromebook.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Chrome OS using the recovery drive.
Perform a Full Recovery
If nothing else works, performing a full recovery using the steps below might help:
- Turn off the Chromebook.
- Press and hold the Esc + Refresh keys, then press the Power button.
- When the "Chrome OS is missing or damaged" screen appears, insert your recovery USB drive (if you created one) or try connecting to the internet again for recovery.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
