I wiped my ssd dev nvme0n1 and copied 4 partitions from an external drive. PC won't boot. how do I recover? I installed linux mint on my hard drive dev sda and did a sudo update-grub but only linux mint is seen. I have a legal dvd for windows 7 but the pc will not boot from it so I can't install windows. Any suggestions (make them simple please)

Hi:

You have two options...

1. Make a bootable USB recovery drive using the cloud recovery client utility.

Here is the link for how to use the cloud recovery client utility...

2.  Make a bootable W10 installation flash drive using the Microsoft Media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

HP support useless

PC won't boot from windows 7 DVD -  Invalid Signature error.

ditto SD card . I downloaded win10 iso from microsoft  and created installation SD card

I tried different options on BIOS for both methods to no avail
