Microsoft Windows 11

Hey all,

I am writing here as I am unfortunately quite helpless as my mostly new laptop keeps making trouble. I bought it just before going onto a longer trip abproad so sending it in is not really an option as well.

The machine in question is a HP laptop13-bd0xxx (W11, x360, 1165G7, 1TB, 16GB).

The problems I encounter are basically 2.

1. I keep getting random ID41 errors, so the laptop just freezes and I have to hard reboot, or its shutting itself off just out of nowhere. This happened super often in the beginning and I tried multiple things including a full reinstall. Nothing helped until I figured, that I can change in the power options, when the hard drive shuts off and I put the timer to 9999minutes. Since then these issues have been reduced but they steel keep on happening occasionally.

2. I have a horrible performance of the battery going to roughly 3,5h if I work with the laptop. My work is nothing crazy, basically sorting photos(no rendering), writing stuff and being on the web.

Both above points are utterly frustrating and I somehow lived with them the last few weeks as I had to, but now have I have a bit more time on my hands and want to get this sorted.

All the best and thanks for guiding me already where I could further turn to.

Hello @rgenze

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...

To help you I need to know the product number (p/n) of your notebook !

You will find this information on the back of your notebook printed in small alphanumeric letters.

The product number (p/n) is legally allowed information, just about the computer, no sensitive data.

It is allowed to post in public, no problem.

Installed everything and till now i did not get any more random crashes. Unfortunately the battery has  not significantly improved. Will report back if the crashes are back 😉 Till than, thanks!

Check exactly how stable your system is and create a Windows system restore point. Then check in again. That should have been the solution.
