I recently updated my laptop and since then I haven’t been able to sign into my account. It’s a local account so I can’t reset my password via Microsoft as no email is associated with it. 

I have restarted and rebooted in safe mode, I’ve even reset it so I know for sure the password is correct as it is required for the processes I’ve tried but I still can’t get past the login stage. I really don’t want to lose my data and I don’t think I should go out and pay for a password key service because it wasn’t my fault. Please help 😞
