Hello all, I see this issue repeated countless times by other forum members, but can't see a solution.
I have upgraded my standard RAM on my Pavilion 15-ec1008na (2x 4GB originally running at 3200MHz). I purchased the RAM that was recommended by HP & Crucial to DDR4-3200MHz 2x 16GB kit. After upgrading, the RAM speed is now set to 2667MHz. I entered BIOS through Windows Recovery and there were no advanced options and no option to change frequency. Can someone please advise how to get my new RAM to run at the advertised clocks please? Is there a way to enter HP Advanced Bios?
I don't believe I should be required to pay for this support, as HP seem to be trying to push me towards. I purchased RAM as per their recommendation and it should run as advertised. This should be a far simpler solution than it is proving to be.

Hi,
The Ballistix RAM only runs at the 3200Mhz with XMP which your notebook does not have
I believe you need RAM that runs at this speed without XMP
