Yes specs indicate it has Windows 10 Home 64 bit installed. Did you buy it from a retailer like Best Buy? Perhaps a factory reset will work. Turn it competely off...tap esc repeatedly immediately after you hit the start button...should get pausing startup then a menu and F11 is factory recovery. Choose to return to factory state and it will clean the hard drive and start over. Takes maybe 90 minutes but should give you a fresh start. If that does not work we need to see if maybe some of the hardware like the hard drive is bad. You get to the diagnostic menu by tapping F2 instead of F11 after esc. But try the recovery first. Very strong chance it will work.

Can we have the model number of the laptop please and what version of Windows you are trying to install? With a new laptop you should not need to install Windows. Unless it was purchased without Windows such as FreeDOS.

Thanks so much for this. It may even help with another HP Laptop as well (Windows 10 )
Do you know if this process ALSO reinstalls bloatware that's been uninstalled?
Thanks again!
