Microsoft Windows 11

I tried downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader onto my new HP Envy 17.3-inch laptop (product number 537Z6AV) because I thought I needed it to read PDF files. I downloaded it from the Microsoft Store and during the installation the dialogue box for switching the default PDF reader from Microsoft Edge to Adobe Acrobat started flickering lighter and darker. I was still able to complete the installation, but I wondered if I had damaged the operating system through installing the Acrobat Reader. At the Microsoft Store there was no drop-down menu to select my operating system, so I assumed Microsoft could diagnose my operating system automatically and provide the correct app for me. After the instability issue, I'm not sure the Acrobat Reader is compatible with Windows 11 Pro or not. How can I check this in retrospect? Do you recommend I uninstall it and use Microsoft Edge to read PDF's? The Acrobat reader seems to work fine, and I haven't experienced any instability issues beyond the temporary flickering, but I want to make sure my system is O.K. What's my next step?
