Hello Community,
I would like to ask if will upgrade my Compaq Presario CQ56-210EE: the Memory RAM from 2GB RAM DDR2 800MHz to 4GB RAM DDR 800MHz, and upgrade the hard disk to SSD, so can I install Windows 10 Pro 64bit on the laptop?
And if yes, which Windows 10 Pro do you advice me to install, 32 bit or 64 bit?
Thanks in advance.

You're very welcome, Ramy.
Yes, that is most likely the problem.
The card used to work in W10 back in 2015 when it first came out, but in the last few years, the newer builds caused the Ralink card to quit working, and there is no fix.
For best results, I would purchase the dual band USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter like the one I posted.
It works very good on W10.
They are almost giving them away on Ali Express. 😊
The BT version is 4.2.
If you are running W10 Pro 32 bit, I would leave it that way and just increase the memory to 2 x 2 GB.
64-bit operating systems need more disk space and memory to run than a 32-bit OS does.
Not double, but more.

Hi:
W10 should work on your notebook but the Ralink Wi-Fi card may not.
The BT 3.0 definitely will not work.
Are you running W7 on your notebook?
If so, I can give you a free way to upgrade to W10 and you can test it out before spending a lot of money on W10 Pro software that you may not be able to use.

Thanks dear Paul,
The windows 10 Pro is now installed on the notebook but with hard drive and 2GB RAM, but the wifi is not working.
Ahh so the wifi is not working because of the installed windows 10 yes? I guessed the wifi card is broken😅 and I am searching for a new one. I can search for the available networks but I cant connect to any Wifi network. So the wifi card is good yes?
So you advice me to use a new external usb Wifi + bluetooth while I am using Windows 10 on this notebook?
Can you advice me to a USB wifi 5 or 6 and bluetooth 4.2 or higher?
Thanks thanks thanks dear Paul.

Okay dear Paul thank you!
The windows 10 Pro 64 bit is now installed, so I need to increase the memory from 2gb to 4gb RAM (2×2) yes?
And one more question, the most of the keyboard keys on the Presario CQ56 are not working so I am using external keyboard now. Can this problem caused by the installed windows 10 pro also? Or is it a hardware problem?
I tried to find the keyboad on Ali Express and I just found this bellow in the link, you advise me to buy it?

Thank you very much.

You're very welcome.
Yes, if you are running a 64-bit OS, you definitely want another 2 GB of memory because I've run W10 64 bit on 2 GB of memory and it is terribly slow.
Was the keyboard working fine before you installed W10?
If so, then most likely replacing the keyboard won't help.
If not, then it probably will.
Can you ask the seller if the keyboard will work in your notebook?
I can only refer you to the keyboard part numbers in chapter 3 of the service manual.
There are keyboard part numbers for different countries.
