HP 245 14 inch G9 Notebook PC (788D2AV)

Hello! I have a quick question. I recently got a 14-inch HP 245 G9 laptop with a dual-core AMD Athlon Silver 3050U processor and 4GB of RAM. It originally came with Windows 11 pre-installed by the manufacturer. I used Rufus to create a bootable USB and successfully installed Windows 10! Now, I’d like to ask: Is it possible to install Windows 7 on my laptop? Is there any pre-configured Windows 7 build available for my device?

Hi:

Unfortunately, W7 would not be supported for your PC.

If by some miracle, you were able to install W7, there would be no drivers for most of the hardware your notebook comes with.

Will it be possible to install at least some old nostalgic OS on my computer? Or NO?

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, not.

W10 is the oldest OS that will work.

In October of 2025, Microsoft will retire support for W10, it will become nostalgic.

Excuse me, do you work as a programmer? Can you write drivers or any other programs?

HP Recommended

No, I don't have that kind of expertise.

All I know is that currently no W7 drivers exist for your notebook.

Can you make a Youtube video about my HP laptop that I told you about? Any video, for example, about the review of internal components (processor, RAM, video card and BIOS, etc.)! Or about the possibility of installing Windows 7 with UEFI (CSM). I have another QUESTION: Is it possible to modify the BIOS of my laptop to unlock additional settings, such as an XMP profile, OR - Sata Mode (IDE)?

HP Recommended

The BIOS is locked at the factory and you cannot access any other settings other than what is currently available.

Sorry, I never made a YouTube video before, and never will.

Have you found a Windows 7 build compatible with my device on different sites? With integrated USB 3.0 and NVMe!!!

HP Recommended

There isn't any.

What you need to do is to try instilling W7, and see what happens.

What I can tell you is that W7 is not compatible with secure boot so you will have to disable secure boot  before even proceeding to boot from your W7 installation media.

That's all the assistance I can provide you.
