I need to reinstall OS (7 or 10) on a Probook 440 G3.
I try with HP Cloud recovery (both OS) from the bootable USB drive I have made but the messsage is always the same, I get an error saying "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" and telling me to insert media containing it.
I try with a USB 2.0 and with USB 3.0 (both with Cloud recovery 7 and 10 - option "OS and drivers"- and both with "normal" OSs.
I tried also with this
and this

Nothing. Always "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing"
It's a nightmare, please help me.

I solved. It was not a problem of drivers. HDD was not seen from win7 or win10 install tool. I download a Linux distro (Lubuntu). I install the linux distro and format the HDD in linux filesystem. After this i put again the USB key (without additional drivers) with win7 install tool.
Now the install tool was seen the HDD. But was not able to install windows on it also after delete the volume and format in NTFS filesystem.
So I press the keys MAIUSC+F10 (to use command prompt)
- diskpart
- list disk (take note of the number of associated unit).
- select disk + number_of_associated_unit
- clean
- create partition primary size= 476160 (this the space of my entire disk,465GB*1024)
- format fs=ntfs quick
- assign
- active
- list volume (take note of the letter of the volume where tìo install win)
- exit
- cd d: (d is the volume of the usb flash memory)
- xcopy d: c:/e/h/k (wait until the copy is finished)
- exit
Now restart the system and boot from HDD. The system was starting a new installation.
After the new installation, adjust the boot menù.

Hi:
Go into the BIOS, and enable Legacy mode/disable secure boot.
If you are installing W7, use this utility to put the required USB 3 drivers into the installation flash drive.
http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Utility/mb_utility_windowsimagetool.zip
I have no idea why W10 won't install however. That doesn't need any special drivers.
