Hi,
I received my Envy 13 laptop yesterday and so far i am loving it. I would like to use hypervisor to run linux though, so i need windows pro instead of windows home.
So the question is: If i reinstall this laptop with windows pro, i suppose i just install all drivers i can find on the support page, or is there more?

You can do a clean install and use the drivers from your Support page. However, there is no need to do that unless you just prefer a clean slate to start. You can enter your Pro key and it will upgrade to Pro without clean install.

Modern versions of Windows have more built-in drivers than ever, Win 10 comes with inbuilt basic drivers that are required to run your PC. So most of your PC’s hardware should work out of the box.
You can also grab the drivers and utilities you may need for your PC’s hardware from the manufacturer’s website.
Consider Doing these things before you start the reinstalltion
Make a List of Your Installed Programs
Get the Product Keys You Need
Create Your Windows Installation Media
Deauthorize iTunes
Hope this info helps you.

I do like a clean slate. I have always found that upgrading to a next windows version was messy at best, but i guess upgrading from home to pro is just a matter of adding some things that are missing. I'll give it a try, i can always do a clean install if it goes bananas.
Thanx for the suggestion!

Happy to hear you enjoyed a smooth process. I had imagined it would be with the laptop being new and no junk lurking about to disrupt the unlocking of extra features.
