Install an operating system and Hard disk (3F0)

Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.

Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.

If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty

 

if the disk fails it needs to be replaced.  If the disk passes diagnostics then windows needs to be recovered.



HP is removing cloud recovery for many systems over 5 years old. The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires. You may want to go here and get a copy of your cloud recovery before it is too late.

If your system is less than 5 years old and cloud recovery is missing then contact HP to obtain cloud recovery.

Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.




You can install windows 10 (or 11)  using Microsoft tools and, if needed, obtain any missing drivers from HP.

If your system is working you can do a reset of windows 10 and preserve your files. Read this first and then watch this video to see how to do it.

If your system is not working then you must use another PC and create a windows 10 installation USB. If your PC was licensed for windows 10 home then be sure to install the home version of 10 (or 11) if not compatible to 11 there is a way to do it.  Let me know if you want 11.
