I have reset my laptop HP pavilion x360, then while installing windows it is showing that "the computer restated unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." Even if we click ok also it is looping the same information as above given

Specifically, the message "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error" typically occurs when the system cannot proceed with the installation for various reasons.
Common causes:
- Corrupted installation media: The installation files on the USB drive might be damaged.
- Incompatible BIOS/UEFI settings: The BIOS settings could be incorrect, especially if the system needs to be set to UEFI or Legacy mode.
- Faulty hardware: There could be issues with your hard drive/SSD or RAM.
- Incomplete or interrupted installation: If the system was interrupted during a previous installation attempt, it could cause the setup to get stuck.
. Ensure Correct Boot Order and Boot Mode
- Check BIOS settings: Sometimes, the system might be set to boot in an incorrect mode (UEFI vs Legacy). Follow these steps:
- Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F10 or Esc) to enter the BIOS settings.
- Disable Secure Boot and Enable Legacy Boot (or change the boot mode to UEFI if you're using UEFI installation).
- Save changes and exit the BIOS.
2. Recreate the Windows Installation Media
:
- Use the Windows Media Creation Tool to create a new bootable USB stick.
- Ensure you select the correct version of Windows (10 or 11) and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit).
- Try installing Windows again using this newly created media.
3. Perform a Clean Installation
- When you boot from the installation media, select Custom (Advanced) installation.
- Delete all existing partitions (make sure you back up any important data first, as this will erase everything on the hard drive).
- Create a new partition and proceed with the installation.

- Close the command prompt and restart your laptop.

- RAM: Try reseating your RAM or testing it with a different stick (if you have a spare).

7. Reset BIOS to Default Setting
- Enter the BIOS menu (usually by pressing F10 or Esc during startup).
- Find the option to Load Defaults or Restore Factory Settings.
- Save the changes and try the installation again.
8. Try Installing in Safe Mode (if possible)
If you're able to boot into Safe Mode before the installation error appears, you can try installing Windows from there:
- After booting into the installation media, click Repair your computer instead of Install Windows.
