Im planning to install Windows 10 LTSC 2021 after the ESU of this device. I found the video of MetraByte showing how he downloads Windows 10 LTSC and his device will now have security updates until 2032. Please give me the instructions so I may download it (i kinda hate Win11).

Sincerely,
Jai

Hi @Jairus7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To get a better idea of what’s going on, could you share a bit more information?

Windows 10 LTSC is a specialized edition and isn’t installed or activated the same way as regular Windows versions:

1. What is the exact model of your HP laptop?
2. Do you currently have a valid license or access to Microsoft’s Volume Licensing (VLSC)?
3. Are you planning a clean install or are you hoping to install LTSC over your current Windows setup?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting / preparation steps to consider:

  • Back up all your files — LTSC installs typically require a clean installation.
  • Review your activation method — LTSC requires a volume license, and it’s not available through retail or standard OEM keys.
  • Be cautious with video download links — those often lead to unofficial ISOs, which can be unsafe or not activate properly.

Once you share the model of your HP laptop and your licensing situation, I can help guide you through the safest and correct steps, and what your options are.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!

Take care and have an amazing day ahead!

Best regards,
