There once was a very helpful document on HP's website about this, but it appears HP deemed it was no longer necessary.... I had it bookmarked and now it is gone, and I cannot remember the entire process.
This was the link: h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c05040446
I am trying to install Windows 7 on an HP ZBook 15 G3, which comes with the NVMe PCI SSD. The Windows 7 image by default does not support the new NVMe PCI SSD's without injecting a few drivers and updates into the image. I have injected said drivers and updates into the image following a similar process, but it does not seem to be working.
Does anyone have any insight into what I may be doing wrong? I can boot into the image, the PC even sees the hard drive and USB stick once in the image, but when I click "Install Now" I am greeted with a message that states "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." I click browse and can see the USB stick, both partitions of the hard drive (C & D) as well as the "X" drive. I am not sure what driver it is complaining about not having. I have already imported the USB 3.0 drivers, ethernet driver, etc. into the image as well as an update that allows support of the NVMe SSD.

Hello!
DId you resolve the problem installing windows 7 on your Zbook G3 15?
There is an optiion with HP cloud recovery client to download the windows and drivers. I am not sure if HP included the USB driver into the recovery booting file.
Let me know if you resolved the problem.
