Hi everyone.
I'm trying to install a Win 7 Ultimate 64bit on my notebook but I receive an error regarding missing CD/DVD drivers.
I'm installing from an USB bootable key.
I already tryed the Intel tool that adds the drivers to my USB, but I still get the error (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility).
Anyone has any idea what can be the problem? Since when asked for drivers I can browse my USB and also the SSD, maybe I can just download the drivers there. But how can I know which driver is missing? USB 3 should be solved already.
thanks in advance

Hello @Gara1
Welcome back to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.
Is your issue similar to the one described here >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Software-and-How-To-Questions/Install-Win-7-from-bootable-USB...
Take a look. If YES, try the suggestions posted over the Microsoft forum, try using USB 2.0 port or try to disable USB 3 support. Eventually, try re-downloading the Windows 7 ISO image and re-write it with Rufus. Details can be found in the thread.
Let me know how it goes

Hi, thanks for the answer.
My problem is actually more similar to https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Installing-Windows-7-x64-Enterp... since both notebook doesn't have USB 2 ports.
At least it seemed the same problem, so I used the intel tool to add USB3 drivers to the bootable iso, but it didn't work.
I didn't find the option to disabole usb3.0 support, but I'll check again tonight, because that I think could really solve the problem.
I'll also try to redownload and build the ISO with the links found in the post you linked, but I'm not too confidente that it will solve anything.
But first I'll try this: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/a-required-cddvd-device-driver-...
If this is really a bug in retaining USB detection another version of the installer could actually solve my problem.
Lot of things to try and I can't do this at work, so I think it will take me some days to try everything
