Product: Pavilion touch 10?
Operating System: Unknown

Before I start, let me say, my computer skills are less than non existent! I bought this pavilion touch ,used. I turn it on and get a message saying boot device not found, please install operating system on hard disc. I just want to know how to go about doing this. Thank - You

Hi,

Can you provide the exact model number of the notebook? Here is how to find it

Model number

 

First, you should also perform hardware diagnostics on the drive and see if it is good. So turn off the PC by holding the power button. Turn on PC and continuously keep pressing ESC until the startup menu appears. Press F2 to enter diagnostics and you can perform the fast system test or hard drive test.

Did the seller include the hard drive?

 

Some used laptops sold on eBay do not have a hard drive.
