Just got a message on my system: Intel Optane Memory is reporting that its health is beginning to degrade.
Trying to know if I disable it my system would improve in performance? Right now it is so slow. Even loading a google browser can take forever.

What I recommend you do is to back up your files as soon as possible and replace the 512 GB Intel SSD with the onboard 32 GB of Optane memory with a standard NVMe SSD such as a Crucial P3.
After you copy any files you don't want to lose onto a portable hard drive, you can try disabling the Intel Optane memory using the Intel RST software and see if that helps performance any while you wait for the new drive to arrive.
Since the SSD drive and Optane memory are integrated into one unit, I don't know if disabling the 32 GB Optane portion of the drive will help or not but I guess you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.
See this link for how to disable the Intel Optane memory.
HP Desktop PCs - Install and use Intel Optane | HP® Support
If your notebook has a BIOS setting to disable the memory, do that after you turn it off with the RST software.
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook where you can find the M.2 SSD removal and replacement procedure:

Probably, it is useless now and slowing down anyway.
