Intel RST VMD Pre-OS Driver Version 18.1.1.5201

Hello,

I own an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-er0xxx (Product number 23T72AV, Serial number 8CG2087MHS, 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7). In BIOS, the Intel Optane/RST section shows Intel RST 18.1.1.5201 RST VMD Driver. I am reinstalling Windows 11, but Windows Setup cannot detect my SSD without the correct driver.

I have tried Intel's generic 18.7.x drivers, but Setup does not accept them. Can you please provide me with the exact SoftPaq number and download link for the Intel RST VMD Pre-OS driver version 18.1.1.5201, which matches my BIOS?

Hi:

Many folks have asked for that file and it is no longer available for download.

You have to use a newer version of the driver.

The driver I attached below is good for all Intel PC's with 11th > 13th gen core processors.

Also, you should be able to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will return the drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

The recovery image should have the Intel storage controller drivers included.

Since you have to use the utility on another Windows PC, you will have to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.
