I purchased Pavilion G6 - 2236TX laptop with WIN 8 Standard in 2013. Subsequently OS was upgraded to WIN 10. Encountered issues with Wi-Fi connectivity 2 years back. When I took it to HP Authorized Service Center, I was told that this Laptop is not compatible with Windows 10 and hence I had the Wi-Fi connectivity issue and maximum my Laptop can support is Windows 8 and same was re-installed and delivered. Now every time I switch it on, it prompts to upgrade to Windows 10. Please advice me if Pavilion G6 is really not compatible with Windows 10 and leads to such problems as informed. I do not find Pavilion G6 listed in the list of Consumer Notebook PCs tested for Windows 10 as available at https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05195282

Hi:
Your notebook is not supported for W10.
The main reason it won't work is because there are no W10 drivers for the AMD/Intel switchable graphics your notebook has.
You could replace the internal wifi card with one that works in W10, but the graphics is the show-stopper.
Sometimes you can't get the IDT audio to work either.
