I cant seem to get the Hp smart app to upload to the computer. I have restarted the computer., incase that was the problem.
Also at one point i had to uninstall it because I thought if I just reloaded it that would fix it.

Hi @schoolme ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with the HP Smart app on your HP Notebook - 15-Dw0083wm, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Ensure Compatibility: Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the HP Smart app. Check the HP Smart website or documentation for specific details.
Reinstall HP Smart App: Since you've already uninstalled the app, try reinstalling it from the official source. Download it directly from the HP website or the Microsoft Store.
Update the App: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app. Sometimes, updating the app can resolve compatibility issues. Check for updates through the app store or HP's official website.
Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the installation or communication of the HP Smart app. Temporarily disable them and try installing the app again. Remember to re-enable them after the installation.
Run as Administrator: Right-click on the HP Smart app installer and choose "Run as administrator." This ensures that the app has the necessary permissions to install and function properly.
Driver Updates: Ensure that your system has all the latest drivers installed. Visit the HP support website and download and install any available updates for your specific laptop model.
Clear Temporary Files: Clear temporary files on your computer using the built-in Disk Cleanup tool. Sometimes, accumulated temporary files can interfere with app installations.
Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable. Sometimes, a poor or intermittent connection can cause issues with downloading and installing apps.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
