@wprati, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, it is absolutely possible to restore your OMEN by HP - 17-an188nr laptop to its original factory condition. HP provides a couple of options depending on the current state of your system.

Option 1: Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Recommended)

If your laptop was manufactured in 2016 or later (which the 17-an188nr is), you can use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to download the original factory image (OS, drivers, and HP software) and create a bootable USB recovery drive.

Steps:

  1. On a working PC, download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from this link: HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support
  2. Run the tool and enter your product ID: 17-an188nr.
  3. Follow the prompts to create a recovery USB drive.
  4. Insert the USB into your OMEN laptop and boot from it (you may need to press Esc or F9 during startup to access the boot menu).
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system.

Option 2: Use Built-in Windows Recovery (if accessible)

If your system is still bootable, you can try resetting it using Windows 11's built-in recovery options.

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Recovery.
  2. Under Recovery options, click Reset this PC.
  3. Choose Remove everything to fully restore to factory settings.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
