HP Recommended

Hello HP Support Team,

I recently replaced the SSD in my HP EliteBook and am attempting to install Windows OS from a bootable USB drive. However, I am encountering an issue during the boot process. Here are the details:

  • Model: HP EliteBook [Your Model Number]

  • Issue: After pressing F9 to boot from the USB, I am prompted to enter a 4-digit code. Upon entering the code, the screen goes black and nothing happens.

  • Steps Taken:

    1. Created a bootable USB drive using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

    2. Set the boot order in BIOS to prioritize the USB drive.

    3. Entered the 4-digit code displayed on the screen.

Despite these steps, I am unable to proceed with the installation. Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your assistance.
