Hi @Akasheeeyh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP laptop is experiencing a power-related issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

Check the Power Adapter and Connections:

  • Ensure the power adapter is plugged into both the laptop and a working power outlet securely.
  • Check for any signs of damage on the power cord or adapter itself.

Reset the Laptop:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable). Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This can discharge any residual power and sometimes resolves startup issues.

Inspect the Battery:

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, check its condition. A faulty or depleted battery might prevent the laptop from powering on, even when connected to the charger.

Try a Different Power Outlet:

  • Sometimes, the power outlet itself might be the issue. Plug the laptop into a different outlet to see if that resolves the problem.

Check for LED Indicators:

  • The blinking orange light you mentioned typically indicates a charging issue. If the battery is completely drained, it might take a while to start charging properly. Leave it plugged in for at least 30 minutes to see if the light changes to indicate a full charge.

Inspect for Physical Damage:

  • Look for any physical damage such as cracks or breaks in the laptop casing or around the power connector area.

Check for BIOS or Firmware Issues:

  • In some cases, updating the BIOS or firmware of the laptop can resolve power-related issues. However, this step should be approached cautiously and ideally performed when the laptop is functioning normally.

These steps should help you diagnose and potentially resolve the issue with your HP laptop not turning on properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
