Since the upgrade to Windows 24H2 today, I have different issues but mainly the webcam stopped working. But there are other random issues like the Quick Settings Pannel not opening (just a black window opens) or the toolbar not showing up anymore. I tried resetting the PC (deleting all data) but the issues are still there.

It seems that the issues you're experiencing after upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 might be related to compatibility problems between the new update and the drivers or system components of your HP Envy x360 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop. Here's what you can try to resolve the problems.
Webcam Issue
- Update or Roll Back Webcam Driver:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Under Cameras or Imaging devices, find your webcam, right-click it, and select Update driver. Try updating to the latest driver.
- If the update doesn't work, right-click the webcam and select Properties. Go to the Driver tab and choose Roll Back Driver if the option is available, especially if the webcam was working before the update.
Quick Settings Panel Not Opening (Black Screen)
- Reinstall Graphics Drivers:
- This issue could be related to your display drivers. Go to Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and right-click your graphics driver. Choose Uninstall device.
- After uninstalling, restart your PC. Windows should automatically reinstall the latest driver, or you can manually download and install the driver from HP's website or your GPU manufacturer (Intel/AMD).
Toolbar/Taskbar Not Showing
- Restart Windows Explorer:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Find Windows Explorer in the list, right-click it, and select Restart. This often fixes the taskbar and Quick Settings issues.
- System File Check:
- Press Win + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type the following commands one by one, pressing Enter after each:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Additional Steps
- Check for More Updates: Sometimes after a major Windows update, new patches are quickly released to fix bugs. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for any additional updates.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the HP Support Assistant to check for any BIOS or driver updates specific to your HP Envy x360 that could be required after the Windows update.
If these steps don't resolve the issues, you may need to consider rolling back the Windows 11 24H2 update until a more stable release is available. To do this:
- Go to Settings > System > Recovery.
- Under Go back to the previous version of Windows, select Go back.

I'm having issues too, noteably that after a shutdown then powering up the display scaling will be at 300% despite it saying 200%, the cursor is huge - selecting a different scaling then 200% solves it but it's only started happening since 24h2. I too have tried reinstalling windows, but HP doesn't seem to allow selecting previous releases

Hello I have an HP Spectre 360 and the Windows 11 24H2 update also did not go well at all. The upgrade attempted twice, and failed both times. When the system rebooted, it showed three versions of Windows 11. I inadvertently picked the wrong one (and they all looked identical). The computer went into an infinite loop, rebooting over and over with the screen flickering, and no way to re-select a different version of Windows 11.
My system was down for a good day after the upgrade. I had to get an emergency boot USB drive to get in, and then get Bitlocker recovery to see recovery codes for my drive, to then be able to run bcdedit to see what was going on. I finally could see that, of the three versions of Windows 11, only one was viable and the other two would go into endless reboots.
As per below, the third Windows 11 choice is the only one that works. The path variable shows that it is trying to access the \$WINDOWS.~BT\NewOS\WINDOWS\system32\winload.efi file, but since the upgrade is failing, it goes into a loop and is faulty.
The way to get back in is to boot into the emergency USB boot drive, and then ask it to boot back again into the C: drive, picking the correct choice, which was the last option. You have to make sure you disconnect the USB drive quick though before it boots, or you are back in recovery. Once Windows 11 is back up, I could then use MSCONFIG to correct the issue. Alternatively you can use bcdedit from recovery mode, but that is quite dangerous.
What was also disappointing is that the HP recovery mode from bootup (F11 I think) did not work. This was one of the worst Windows 10/11 upgrades I have ever seen, and recommend everyone use caution.
