Hello,
This computer doesn't want to update to Windows 10 ver.1903 gives an kernel error.
Windows 1809 does work fine.
Problems are that I can't do my work on this computer cause of this issue. The bios version is update to F.42 as seen in the log. I haven't at this time of posting checked why it just doesn't go thru the update. The only thing connected to computer is the power cord.
Errors that I found are here. I shutdown my Personal firewall and used Windows own, also AV is Windows defender.

Well I don't know if this is good information or not but I managed to update computer to version 1903. First attempt did give a blue screen.

Steps that I took to be sure:
1. I rebooted the computer boot menu
2. I started diagnostics
3. Checked RAM, CPU and Video how it would behave.
4. Ram check ok
5. Video check ok.
6. CPU Computer hung, test should take 10 seconds, nothing happened for over one hour. Rebooted computer again and run this test to be sure. Next it went thru, tested again it went thru no issues.
7. Diagnostics seemed to be good so no hardware issues there.
8. Rebooted computer to Windows normally.
9. Checked devices manager and event viewer found one error ( 0xc19001e1 ) that code didn't really give any indication or help what to do next.
10. Next step I took was, to start device manager, checked the GPU AMD Driver and chanced it to Windows Basic driver. Installed it and checked windows update and run the update.
11. At this time the update run thru without any issues.
12. Downloaded the GPU driver from HP support site and installed it. ( sp96638.exe )

I still don't know what was the "real issue" or problem why this computer gave the BSOD when trying to update to version 1903 but at this time it did it. So for me it might the GPU driver that was the "problem", I don't know really. The driver I have installed at this time is following:

Hello,
Personally I do have an interest of going thru the functions and how it does affect the platform I´m using. I can say it works fine on an Intel based plattform without an issue. That what really bothers me is even thought this AMD based computer is under it warranty and gives BSOD:s when trying to update might be an issue with some driver issue, this is only my speculation I haven't checked it out yet for fully.
Even thought I'm just using the computer for basic tasks, checking email, working with documents, spreadsheets and some programming nothing really extraordinaire things. It does happen that I do also game on a pc, but that's more rare on this computer. I also wanted to check out AMD:s graphic performances too personally and not in just videos, there are good information about that. These things are quite personal for me that I want to check out different kind of computer setups and see how to perform in real life.
Last time I just wanted to see if it could update to the newest version of Windows and it didn't I think it stopped around 73% of an update and then blue screened, I don't exactly remember at what procent I believe it was around there and the computer had been running the update about one and half an hour.
Would I prefer to take this computer on a trip, maybe. I do like the speakers and the screen size, even it's a bit to large what I prefer for travelling. I do prefer more the 13" for those things.

OK, but I don't see why this particular PC can not update to Win10 v1903.
I have three different PCs running AMD processors, and those are all different models, and all three have been updated to Win10 v1903 without issue and those continue to run, also without issue. So, it is not the presence of an AMD processor per se that prevents updating to v1903.
If it were my PC, I would do the following:
1) Use Macrium Reflect (MR) to make an image backup of the boot and OS partitions to an external drive. This gives me something to restore FROM.
2) Make MR boot media -- you will need that later for a restore
3) Download and create Win10 v1903 install media on USB stick.
4) Force a Clean-Install of Win10 v1903 from that same media.
If the PC then works OK, you have confirmed that there is no hardware issue preventing it working on Win10 v1903.
So then, you can either restore the PC using the MR boot media and the backup image you made, or you can leave it running Win10 v1903 and figure out how to migrate your personal data from the backup image (MR lets you MOUNT an image as a virtual drive, which simplifies recovering personal files) and also figure out how to reinstall and reconfigure your apps.

Personally I haven't at yet started really to search around the drivers and stuff. But regarding to other computers that I use at this time this is the only one that has AMD, cpu and gpu. It might be the drivers for the graphics card that can be an issue, though I haven't checked it out and don't know, this is more a guess. Besides if I do reinstall from a clean installation doesn't it mean that the drivers I have right now will be basically removed and I don't have the "error" instead everything is clean. Personally I do think AMD cpu is fine and that shouldn't be an issue, I just haven't started to check out everything yet why it didn't go thru. Didn't find anything interesting in the Windows update log either.
I can do an repair installation, thought I don't know yet if I'll do it. I have done virtual installation and used other means of virtual drivers and also live cd:s from usb. Can check the HP diagnostics how it does give some feedback to. Last time I checked it there wasn't any hardware defects at that time either. This computer has been at the repair shop once, before cause the screen stopped working and there was also an ram failure. After the repair it hasn't given any blue screen, besides from the Windows update to Windows 10 to version 1903.
The thing I did before I tried that update was to update this computers bios to version F.42 what was found under HP support pages. Just at this moment a clean installation is the fastest way to go, personally I wan't try to learn why does my computer behave as it does at this time with the windows update. I mean why doesn't it go thru, what is the reason for it. It might be found under event viewer in Windows, just haven't been looking in there yet.
Besides before I do an "clean installation" or so I do think I might test this kind of solution first

- Delete the full contents of this folder.
- Reboot.
- Go to an admin command prompt.
- Run wuauclt.exe /updatenow.
- Reboot the computer if the update succeeds
