I tried to correct kernel errors by changing or deleting drivers and doing system restore. Finally, after several system restore failures, my laptop booted up into Windows Enterprise. What do I do now?

Hi @HawkBabyLove

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you experienced kernel-related errors, attempted to resolve them by modifying or uninstalling drivers, and performed multiple System Restore attempts. However, your laptop eventually booted into Windows Enterprise.

To better understand the situation and provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps, could you please confirm the following:

1. Was your laptop previously running Windows 10/11 Home or Pro before it switched to Windows Enterprise?

2. Does Windows currently show as activated, or do you see an activation warning? You can check under Settings > System > Activation.

3. Are you able to access your personal files, documents, and installed applications, or does it appear that Windows has started with a new user profile?

4. Does Windows boot normally into the desktop, or are you still experiencing blue screens, kernel errors, or unexpected restarts?

5. Did the System Restore process complete successfully, or did you receive any specific error messages during the failed attempts?

6. Did you use any recovery media, Windows installation USB, or third-party tools during the troubleshooting process?

7. Could you please share your laptop's exact model name or product number?

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
