I need to know how I retrieve my windows key code I can't get it from my computer

The license key is embedded in BIOS. It is not needed when doing an HP System Recovery to reinstall Windows.  It is not needed when using a retail dvd to install since it will be pulled from BIOS automatically.

If you need it for some other reason you can use a tool such as  the free OEMKey:
