[UPDATE]: I am not able to delete my post, but I have solved my problem!!! I did a hard shutdown by pressing the power button until the computer shut down and making sure that all of the ports including the power cord were unplugged from my computer. When the computer was starting up, I pressed the esc key until it opened setup settings and clicked f10 to go to BIOS. I just went through the BIOS menu and exited with Save and Exit. And everything started working!
I am having problems with my 2019 Hp ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop 15-dr0013nr since about 1 year ago.
I think it started after a Windows update about a year ago, and since then, my keyboard and touchpad have stopped working, although the fingerprint sensor still works fine.
I was initially able to do a system recovery and get my keyboard and touchpad working again, but then 5 days later the keyboard and touchpad stopped working again. Since then, I have not been able to recover them. The only thing is that after they stopped working, I was able to glitch the top row of function keys to work while the computer booted up, but after windows loaded, everything stopped working again. Because of this, I am thinking it might be a software related issue, since the fingerprint sensor is still working, and because I was able to glitch it a couple of times.
Also, my brother has the same exact model as me, and his half of the keys on his keyboard have stopped working, but his touchpad and fingerprint sensor are fine. So, maybe that this is a common issue through this Envy lineup?
