HP Notebook - 15-db0066wm

When I press the space bar it makes a space but also types the number 2.  When I press the backspace button it types the number 8.  There are a few others but that is the gist of my problem.

I have verified that my number lock key is not pressed.  I went into the control panel and did a troubleshooting for the keyboard which found no issues.

I am currently restoring the system to a previous update (12-4-20) to see if that can resolve the issue.  I read somewhere that function+number lock sometimes does something but I can't try it right now as the laptop is going through the restore process right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This laptop is only a year and a half old and 6 months out of warranty.

If there is no problem with the keyboard driver, the keyboard hardware itself is damaged and the keyboard needs to be replaced.
