Hello..so basically i let a friend borrow my Laptop and when gave it back the keyboard was acting up. When i try to tap my password, some keys don’t work and some just type many caracters at the same time. I would leave the computer on without touching it and it would light up and start typing caracters out of nowhere...i don’t know what to do, i’ve had the computer for 7 months now and it was working perfectly before.

Welcome to HP Community
I suggest you run a Keyboard Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard
Keep me posted 😊
