I spilled a small amount of lions my keys and in the process of wiping it off, one key began to malfunction. The next day no keys are functioning. Now it's asking me to reset it but I can't because the keys are not working

You could have a damaged keyboard and/or the membrane underneath it, or the stuff you spilled could have seeped into the body of the laptop and damaged an internal component. There is no way for us to determine this, and you will not simply by examining it.
At the very least, you would probably need to replace the keyboard. Here's some troubleshooting steps you can try: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03738933
If you are experienced at laptop repairs, you can often replace a keyboard for $25 for a new one and a half-hours work. I have done this on older HP laptops.
But, if you're NOT, there is a serious risk of breaking fragile connectors and cables doing this -- so I do not recommend it.
Instead, I would recommend you hunting down a local laptop repair place to have THEM replace the keyboard. Sometimes, on some models, you have to replace the entire top surface of the laptop, not just the keyboard. So you should get an estimate of what is involved before you have the work done.
While you have the laptop at the repair place, you should have them run what diagnostics they can to see if other hardware has been damaged.
Good Luck
