Product: HP Pavilion dv7-1451nr Entertainment Notebook

I have turned it on and get a blank screen, it then a prompt appears with "Computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an error, click 'OK' to restart Computer, and then restart the installation.

I click "OK" and it appears to reboot but returns to the same prompt.

Any ideas of what I can do?

THIS IS WINDOWS VISTA. I HAVE NEVER USED THIS PROGRAM and this is a notebook my daughter found while cleaning out a rental home, I am trying to fix it for her, I am tech savvy but this one has me stumped!!
