HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g119dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Liquid spilled on my laptop and it shutdown on its own. I turned it over in the hopes of it coming back on. My dad tried to open it but was unsuccessful but he shook it a bit and after that the power button came on. It gave directions to press f2 and follow the prompts. It did a memory check and was good but when we do the hard drive it ask us to install it as there is none. Does this mean my laptop is finished? The caps lock button is blinking whenever it is turned back on. Would I have everything on the laptop including the hard drive?

Hello @Marie2467

The notebook should no longer be switched on. There is probably a short circuit. Ask a friend/neighbor/acquaintance who knows computers well to help you remove the hard drive. After that you can transfer the data to another computer with a SATA-to-USB adapter.
