Hp beats by Dre touch screen

I was using my laptop too and received a messege that said my lap top has come across an issue and needs to shut down. It shut down and when I try to turn it back in the power light is solid and so is the caps light solid. I can hear it running. I'v already tried the reset method of disconnecting everything and removing the battery and holding the power button down for 60 seconds then reconnecting it to a power supply. No luck. This is my work laptop, can anyone please help
