Hello, I'm seeking assistance at fixing this laptop. So far, the issues that are happening is, it won't boot nor will it system restore.

So, this issue began when the Computer first was turned off after deleting some useless files from control panel, Cricut and extra things not needed, this battery ended up dying while it was working so it pulled up the system restore upon it's reboot. NOW, the Laptop doesn't have a stable charging connection, it only seems to charge when the battery is connected in, while the Laptop's lid is shut. The system restore advised, I connect the charger but I can't press the 'Continue' tab, while it's closed to confirm that it's connected to a wall charger. So, I realized, I could just drag the notification down and let it do so regardless of accepting the warning. And so begins the next problem, it ends up turning off during it's process and ended up now being unable to do anything as it went into a Black Screen, 'HP PCs - 3F0 Boot Device Not Found'

So, I tried to google the issue and it lead me to a plethora of answers, usually the same thing... Test Hardrive, sadly... the Version is noted as Version 1.11.0.0, the videos, tutorials or information boards all advise to go to components and do things, I simply can't access.. the only thing, Hardware Diagnostics allows me to do is, Memory Test, Hard Drive Check, Language and Exit, I've used both of them.. Quick & Extensive and they both report as 'PASSED', others have commented that there should be a log to check out the information but I haven't found the Log Report, just a deadend.

The other solution I tried, which was.. Reset BIOS, I've done it multiple times & saved, it just doesn't have an effect, followed by the next solution attempt which was, Enable Legacy Mode, upon doing that.. I get the status on the Laptop which reads.. 'No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key.'

Which is where I'm currently dumbfounded by, I don't know what to do.. the warranty on this computer ended 2017, any advice, would be greatly appreciated.

Changing it to Legacy was a mistake -- as the PC came preloaded in UEFI mode (most likely) and changing it to Legacy only ensured that it would not boot anymore.  So you need to change it back.

If you did the drive test and it checked out, you might be able to get the PC working again simply by rebuilding the boot files.  You will need a working PC and a USB stick to create the repair media needed.

You need too follow the instructions below to create boot media from Macrium Reflect (MR) that can be used to rewrite/repair the boot media on your PC:
1) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR) from this link on a working PC: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
2) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD

That will create MR bootable media. Then, you can boot your PC into WinPE using that media.

Have patience, as that can take a while to start and bring up the screen.

Once the screen is there, select the option to Fix Windows boot problems. It will then search for the OSs installed and list them, Select the one you want to repair and click Next.

It will now do the repairs, listing the things it has done.

When finished, select the option to Restart the PC.

If this worked, the boot repair succeeded and you will have your PC back.

But if it did not, the Windows system files are most likely corrupted and you would have to reinstall Windows from scratch to fix that.
