My computer has been working GREAT and then suddenly the internet which works fine won’t connect at all or even show up on my laptop. I restart it and rather than cut on it reads “The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.”
yet it keeps doing this no matter how many times i restart it. I’ve reset the computer entirely. I’ve tried all the advanced options. I’ve removed the battery. I’ve edited the registry. Everything you can find online I’ve tried it and i still can’t get past this black hp welcome screen displaying that instal windows error!
If not, to check the drive you have to follow these steps: 1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over. 2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu 3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run. If the drive checks out OK, then report that and I can provide you options for reinstalling Windows on your PC.
