HP Laptop - 15s-eq1003au
Microsoft Windows 11

I started receiving OS crashes randomly it gave me the same issue System service exception acpi.sys. I tried contacting with windows support they ask me to check my hard drive health which was normal. they ask me to check if there are any drivers updates available from manufacturer. I checked and BIOS update was available it wasn't recommend but was available(F.37 is my current version and F.38 REV A was available version) Windows support said to me install that update and check if error persist when i tried to install bios it crashes windows with error "System service Exception     what failed:  amigendrv64.sys " i tried to contact Windows support they are saying it is manufacturers driver issue I have to contact them and I tried to find online solution and didn't found this error anywhere, there was error of bios update "amifldrv64.sys" i tried its solution but it didn't worked. And one more strange thing i encounter was in one of article that was telling how to solve amifldrv64.sys error they suggested to uninstall network driver and then try i tried to uninstall Wi-Fi and Bluetooth driver but as soon as i refresh (click scan for hardware changes) the drivers are there and not uninstalled. And i also noticed that my laptop is getting heated up more than normal. i tried reinstalling windows and didn't resolved the issue.
Plz help it is very irritating as you are working and OS crashes.

Thanks for your assistance.

But i had already tried to update it from HP support assistant same thing happed one time it froze the laptop i had to force restart computer and on other try it crashed the laptop with same error amigendrv.sys error.

I think there is problem in the driver not in my laptop (in this case) as today i borrowed my friend laptop to make bootable USB with bios in it but when i tried to run driver file on his laptop it also froze. Now i know that there is issue with the bios driver. Is there any way i can request HP to update the driver.

Second my main issue is that laptop give me error system service exception acpi.sys.
As i was updating bios because of that issue. Can you suggest what could be the problem. Some key points are.

  • i reinstalled windows, suspecting corrupt files or virus.
  • windows support suggested it could be hard drive issue, but its results were ok.
  • support said to check for driver update, but update is corrupted.

I suspect it might be my hard drive issue, but results are coming ok can you suggest any good software that give accurate results.

Hoping for your reply.
