My laptop keeps randomly shutting down, I don't know what to do anymore. I didn't do anything prior to the said events. I already bring my laptop to several technicians, and they kept telling me nothing is wrong with my laptop (battery, fan, etc.) but the issue still remains, it keeps randomly shutting down....sometimes it will last for about multiple hours, sometimes just few minutes, and sometimes, it won't even last a single minute. Please help me, really need my laptop and it frustrates me that it keeps shutting down on its own especially when I'm doing something important with it

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Try these steps:
1. Check for Overheating
- Ventilation: Ensure that the laptop is well-ventilated and that the vents are not blocked. Clean any dust from the vents and fans if necessary.
- Cooling Pad: Consider using a cooling pad to help regulate the temperature.
2. Run Hardware Diagnostics
- HP Hardware Diagnostics: You can run HP's built-in hardware diagnostics:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F2 to select "System Diagnostics."
- Run the comprehensive tests for the battery and other components.
3. Check Power Settings
- Power Options:
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Ensure your power plan is set to Balanced or High Performance.
- Click on Change plan settings and then Change advanced power settings. Ensure that settings related to sleep, hibernation, and shutdown are configured correctly.
4. Update Drivers and BIOS
- Update Drivers: Make sure all drivers, especially for the chipset and graphics, are up to date. You can do this via Device Manager or by visiting the HP support website.
- Update BIOS: Check for BIOS updates on the HP support site. Sometimes, BIOS updates can resolve stability issues.
- Use this link to update bios : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-15.6-inch-laptop-pc-15-e2000/model/2100376551?sku=6L9J2U8
5. Check Event Viewer
- View Logs:
- Press Windows key + X and select Event Viewer.
- Look under Windows Logs > System for any critical errors or warnings that occur around the time of the shutdown. This may give you clues about what's causing the issue.
6. Test with Minimal Configuration
- Remove External Devices: Disconnect any unnecessary peripherals (USB devices, external monitors, etc.) and see if the laptop still shuts down.
- Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If it doesn't shut down in Safe Mode, it could indicate a software conflict.
- Check this link : Click HERE
7. Reset Windows
- If all else fails, consider resetting Windows to see if it resolves the issue. Make sure to back up your data before doing this:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
- Choose Reset this PC and follow the prompts.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
