Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My wife's laptop would not boot and diagnostics could not detect the M.2 SSD. I replaced the M.2 SSD and need to get a recovery media image so I can create a bootable USB stick or CD/DVD. Unfortunately all the support guidelines describe only how to create recovery media from a working HP system.

So where can I download an ISO file or similar so I can create a bootable USB stick or CD/DVD to recover the Windows 10 installation?

There might be an option to obtain the recovery media from HP support but it is not a download.  If you do not wish to go that route, then another option is to make the Windows 10 install media from here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working Windows PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media" and then follow the directions.  You can then install Windows 10 from that new media.

If some additional drivers are needed from HP after the install, then they are here:

You can download an official Windows 10 ISO at the following link

Thank you for your replies. I'm aware that I can download Windows 10 from Microsoft. But I was looking for a recovery media image in order to get back to the original installation, including HP diagnostics, device drivers, etc.
