My laptop shuts itself down whenever I close the lid. I have a dual monitor which should remain on when the lid is closed. This previously worked but now is inoeprative. This started in Windows 11 but did not occur in Windows 10.
The power options for closing the lid are set to 'Do NOTHING" when plugged in. How can I fix this? II have to restart all my apps again when I open it back up.

a local computer repair technician botched the installation of Windows 11. The desktop layout was Windows 11 but the system information indicated it was Windows 10 Home. I updated the laptopr to Windows 11 with a full reinstall. The lid closure works now the way it was supposed to. Thank you.
